AuricFlow for cTrader: a gold breakout with a prop-firm guard
Choose your firm's programme, the phase and the account size: the guard loads that programme's limits, Auto sizes every trade from the room they leave, and the robot stops before a limit is reached. The strategy is a gold breakout with the stop with the broker from the first second and a trailing stop that holds a trend for as long as it runs; one position at a time, about two trades a week, no grid and no martingale.

What it does
AuricFlow trades gold with a prop-firm guard built in. You choose your firm's programme, the phase and the account size; the guard loads that programme's limits, the strategy sizes every trade from them, and the robot stops before a limit is reached. It holds one position at a time on XAUUSD.
The shipped strategy is a breakout. When a finished five-minute candle closes above the highest high of the last 24 hourly candles, and the last daily close is above its 20-day exponential average, it buys; the mirror image sells. The stop loss is 1.5 times the hourly average range (ATR) and sits with the broker from the first second. There is no fixed target: a trailing stop stays five entry ATRs away from the price's peak, so a trend is held for as long as it runs, and every position is closed on Friday evening before the weekend. It trades about twice a week. There is no grid, no martingale and no averaging down.
Risk set from your firm's rules
With the Strategy preset on Auto (the shipped default), the risk per trade comes from the room your programme leaves: the maximum loss (less when it trails your equity, and never more than a daily limit counted from the starting balance), divided by twelve and rounded down to 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 or 1 %. A funded account trades 0.5 % at most. Auto refuses to trade, and says why on the chart, on the programmes where the strategy lost accounts in the 2026 simulation or where the limits leave less than 3 % of room.
The guard
On every price change, before anything else, the guard checks the daily loss the way the firm measures it (from the day's starting equity, starting balance or the higher of the two, as a share of the account size or of the day's start), reset on the firm's own clock with daylight saving; the maximum loss, static or trailing, including floors that stop trailing at the account size; the profit target with the minimum trading days, counted only when it still holds after the exit costs; and consistency rules, daily profit caps, open-loss caps, news pauses and weekend rules where the firm has them. It stops before each limit by a buffer, closes the open trade when a limit comes near, refuses an entry whose full stop would no longer fit inside the room that is left, and says why on the chart panel and in the log.
The Rules list holds 43 programme profiles of the firms whose published rules allow a purchased robot on cTrader, phase by phase, and a Custom rules group in which every limit the profiles use can be entered by hand for any other firm. Some firms add conditions for robots, such as approval, similar-trade checks or payout rules for single-symbol profits; read your firm's rules before you buy a challenge.
The published backtest
The figures on this page are cTrader's own backtest report of the shipped defaults: a one-step programme's funded phase (3 % daily loss, 10 % maximum loss trailing the end-of-day balance), Strategy preset Auto, which trades the breakout at 0.50 % risk per trade. The run used cTrader's backtester on IC Markets real tick data, XAUUSD, 100,000 USD, leverage 1:100, commission 27.5 USD per million USD of volume, from 1 January 2026 to 25 September 2026. Every number is read from the run's own report file: net profit 27,769.24 USD, a return of 27.77 %, profit factor 2.00, 79 trades of which 29 won, a maximum balance drawdown of 5.28 % and a maximum equity drawdown of 7.15 %. Few trades, most of them small losses, and the profit made in the trends: that is what a trailing breakout looks like.
What that backtest cannot promise. The breakout was designed on 2026 prices, so this shows how it traded the year it was built on; it is not a forecast. It needs trends: in quiet months it waits, and a run of losing breakouts is normal. The guard keeps the robot inside the limits, but an account can still end at a loss limit rather than at the target, and a price gap can fill a stop beyond its level. Run your own backtest on your own broker's data before trading. The recommended balance is 10,000 USD.
Running in public
The released build runs on a demo account connected to Myfxbook read-only, on the shipped defaults, since 28 September 2026: 10,000 USD at the start, no deposits since, and it will not be reset. The figures above, under the video, are a dated snapshot; the live results page and the Myfxbook page show where it stands today, including when it is losing.
How it was verified
The engine is platform-free C#: it references no cTrader type, so the code that ships can be compiled outside the platform and replayed on the same ticks cTrader's backtester uses. Replayed that way, cTrader's own runs matched deal by deal, to the cent, with zero mismatches across 22 test cases covering different firm programmes, trailing floors, news pauses and the trading-day clock. The published figures are cTrader's own, not the replay's.
More strategies inside
Everything is inside the cBot and chosen with the Strategy preset parameter. Sprint14 is a faster engine for challenges with a deadline: it buys pullbacks in the hourly trend on the one-minute RSI and raises or lowers the risk (0.5 to 1.5 %) from the profit still missing and the days left. 65 more presets carry the first RSI engine, each named by the rules it was tuned under, and Custom engine opens every setting of both engines. There is no file to download, find or import after the purchase.
Restarts
The guard's progress (the day's start, the trading days, a halt, a reached target) is kept when cTrader restarts. On another computer or in the cloud it is rebuilt from the account's own trade history.
Requirements
cTrader Desktop 5.x on Windows or Mac, cTrader Web or cTrader Cloud, on a hedging or a netting account; XAUUSD or your broker's spelling of it. It loads about five months of hourly history at start. It declares no access rights at all; the economic calendar is read through cTrader's own networking service. 102 parameters, every one documented. Keep the platform running, or use a VPS or cTrader Cloud.
Support
Through the Discussion tab of the Store listing, so the conversation stays next to the product. Please include your broker, cTrader version, the firm and phase you chose, your parameter values and the instance log.
This is trading software that places, modifies and closes orders on the account it runs on. Passing a prop-firm challenge is not promised: the breakout needs trends, a run of losing breakouts is normal, and an account can end at a loss limit rather than at the target. The breakout was designed on 2026 prices. Some firms flag identical trades across accounts; read your firm's rules first. Backtest results are hypothetical; past performance does not indicate future results. Trading leveraged products involves risk of loss.
