What I build

Seven kinds of job, each delivered with the source, a setup guide and a report that states its conditions

Expert Advisors built from your rules

Your written rules, an existing EA, or annotated charts become an MT4 or MT5 robot with hard stops, session and spread filters and risk-based sizing. Includes one-click trade manager panels and turning an indicator you already trust into an automated EA.

Prop-firm risk engines and rule guards

Daily-loss and total-loss floors that halt inside the firm's line, day anchoring the way the firm measures it, minimum-day counters, best-day gates, and state that survives a restart. Sold as engineering, never as a promised pass.

Backtesting and optimization with reports that can come back negative

Pinned spreads, rolling windows across regimes, custom fitness metrics, and a results table that keeps the losing runs in. A backtest is a test, not a sales aid.

Non-repainting indicators and multi-symbol scanner dashboards

Signals evaluated on closed bars only, alerts that fire once, and scanners that watch every symbol and timeframe in your list from one chart without draining the terminal.

TradingView Pine Script, and Pine to MT4/MT5 conversion

Pine v6 indicators and strategies delivered as the .pine source, not an invite-only script. Conversions are rewrites checked signal by signal against the original, with the differences that cannot be reproduced stated up front.

Telegram signal copiers and TradingView webhook executors

The rules between the message and the order: max lot caps, symbol mapping, duplicate protection, and a queue-and-poll bridge for TradingView alerts, because MetaTrader cannot receive a webhook directly.

Fix, debug, upgrade, MT4/MT5 ports, and MQL5 Market submission prep

Root-cause fixes with a before-and-after report, upgrades to existing code, ports between MT4 and MT5 in either direction, and the validation pass an EA or indicator needs to be accepted on the MQL5 Market.

How I work

Spec first. Then code. Then the report, including the numbers that are not flattering.

  1. The spec comes back to you

Before any code exists I write your rules back as a specification, covering what they do not yet answer: conflicting signals, session close, gaps, widening spread, rejected orders. That step is what prevents rework.

  2. The build

Zero errors, zero warnings. Broker constraints (stop levels, lot steps, symbol names, margin) are read at runtime rather than assumed. Signals are evaluated on closed bars only.

  3. The test report

Strategy Tester runs with the conditions written down: model, pinned spread, deposit, period. Rolling windows across regimes where it matters, the battery repeated at a wider spread, and the weak results shown.

  4. Delivery and support

Full source code, the compiled files, a setup guide, a video of the system running, and support afterwards. Nothing is locked to my machine.

Five things you can hold me to

  • No repainting, and no profit promises. I build your logic exactly as specified.
  • You own the source code: the .mq4, .mq5 or .pine file is included on every job, not upsold.
  • Broker-agnostic. Nothing is locked to one broker or one account.
  • Clean, documented, warning-free code, MQL5 Market compliant on request.
  • Transparent testing: real Strategy Tester reports and screenshots, never cherry-picked.

What I will not do

  • Promise profit, win rates or returns. Nobody honestly can.
  • Decompile .ex4 or .ex5 files, or clone a paid closed-source script from screenshots.
  • Ship a strategy I think will not survive testing without telling you first. I would rather lose the job than deliver a system that fails on a Tuesday.

Hire me

Fixed-price listings on Upwork start at $60 for a fix and $95 for an Expert Advisor, with escrow and milestones handled by the platform. Or send your rules to info@kestutisbalciunas.com and I write the spec back first.

What I sell on the MQL5 Market

92 listings, 46 products, each for MT4 and MT5: 6 Expert Advisors, 23 paid indicators and 17 free ones. Every purchase, licence, activation and demo is handled by MetaQuotes' own Market system.

The six Expert Advisors are grid and recovery engines, and their listings say so plainly. They are not prop-firm challenge tools. The indicators are dashboards, scanners and non-repainting entry systems, most of them ported from TradingView originals.

Kestutis Balciunas

Who is writing this

I am Kestutis Balciunas, an algorithmic trading developer. Trading forex, indices, commodities and derivatives since 2010, and writing the software behind it since 2016. That combination is what catches the problems most developers miss: broker execution differences, spread and slippage, stop-level limits, multi-timeframe conflicts, and backtests that do not survive contact with live trading.

I publish and support 92 listings on the MQL5 Market, so my code is held to a standard beyond compiling on my machine.

Questions I get before a job starts

Do you guarantee profit?

No, and nobody honestly can. I build the logic you specify, test it under stated conditions, and show you the report including the parts that are not flattering. What the software does after that depends on the market and on how you run it.

Do I get the source code?

Yes, on every job. You receive the .mq4, .mq5 or .pine source together with the compiled files, a setup guide and the test report. Nothing is locked to my machine or to a licence server.

Which brokers and accounts does it work with?

Any MetaTrader 4 or 5 broker. Symbol names with prefixes or suffixes, stop-level limits, lot steps and margin rules are read from the broker at runtime rather than assumed. If a broker constraint changes the design, I say so in the spec.

Can you make my EA pass a prop-firm challenge?

I can make it obey the firm's rulebook in real time, which is what most challenge accounts actually fail on. Daily and total loss floors that halt inside the line, correct day anchoring, minimum-day and best-day rules, restart-safe state. Whether the market delivers the target inside the window is not something any developer can promise.

Will the indicator repaint?

No. Signals are evaluated on closed bars only, so a mark that has printed does not move or disappear later, and alerts fire once per bar. Where a TradingView original relies on intrabar or lookahead data that MetaTrader cannot reproduce, I tell you before the job starts.

Do you decompile .ex4 or .ex5 files?

No. It breaches MetaQuotes terms and the original author's rights. If you have lost your source, I can rebuild the logic from your written rules and your test reports.

How do you test?

In the Strategy Tester with the conditions written down: model, pinned spread, deposit, period. Where it matters I run rolling windows across trending and choppy regimes, repeat the battery at a wider spread, and force the safety limits to fire so the report shows they work. You get the report files, not a screenshot of the best run.

Do you work outside Upwork?

Yes. Upwork is the simplest route for fixed-price jobs because it handles escrow and milestones. For direct work, email info@kestutisbalciunas.com with your rules and I will write the spec back before anything is paid.

Send me your rules. I will write the spec back before you pay for anything.

The form on the contact page takes your rules and your files, and the specification comes back before anything is paid. Upwork is best for a fixed-price job with escrow. Telegram is fine for a quick question.
