Invite-only TradingView indicator

The EMA cross you already trust, minus the ones that fail

An EMA 9 and 21 crossover is a clean trigger, and it fires just as cleanly in chop, in dead sessions and into exhaustion. Sniper Ashfield Pro keeps the cross as the trigger and lets it through only when enough of five further checks agree: session VWAP, RSI, MACD, ADX and a volume burst.

  • EMA 9 and 21 cross, scored against six factors
  • Stars on every label show how many factors passed
  • ATR stop and three targets in R, tracked to the exit
  • Closed bars only, with a cooldown between signals

The published walkthrough: the indicator on real charts, what its inputs do, and which signals to take and which to skip.

9/21 EMA Cross + VWAP: Which Signals Do You Skip? · Watch on YouTube

The cross is necessary. It is not sufficient.

Everybody who has traded an EMA crossover knows the pattern: it works beautifully in a trend and then hands back the profit with five losing crosses in a row while the market goes sideways.

The cross itself is not the problem. It is a fine trigger. The problem is that it has no idea what kind of market it is firing in.

Sniper Ashfield Pro gives it that context. Is price on the right side of the session VWAP? Does momentum agree? Is the market actually trending? Did volume come in? Each yes adds a star, and you decide how many stars a signal needs before you see it.

What you get

What it adds to a bare crossover

Six checks, one score, and a trade plan that stays tidy.

EMA 9 and 21 trigger

The fast average crossing the slow one starts everything. Without a cross there is no signal, whatever else is happening.

Session-anchored VWAP

A daily VWAP that resets each session. Price above it is bullish context, below it bearish, measured against today's trading and not last week's.

RSI and MACD

RSI has to confirm momentum in the trade direction and MACD has to agree on the trend. One point each.

ADX and volume burst

ADX must show a trending market with the close on the right side of the fast EMA. A volume burst with a candle in the trade direction adds the sixth point.

Minimum confluence

Default three of six, adjustable from one to six. Lower it for more signals, raise it for fewer and stricter ones.

ATR stop, three targets

Entry at the close of the signal bar, stop an ATR distance away, targets at 1R, 2R and 3R, all editable, each labelled with its R-multiple.

One trade, one set of lines

Arrows and stars from past signals stay on the chart. Lines exist only for the active trade, and TP3 or the stop clears them.

19-row dashboard

Market context, the momentum engine, live buy and sell scores, the active signal and running counters, in a corner you position to the pixel.

No repainting

Signals are evaluated on the closed bar with Non-Repaint Mode on by default. A cooldown and per-bar de-duplication stop clusters.

Risk drawn for you

A plan in R, without the ruler

Risk is the distance from the entry to the ATR stop. The three targets are multiples of that risk, so the labels read 1R, 2R and 3R and the position size follows from the stop distance.

Each level is checked on every bar afterwards. A target or stop that is reached drops a label on that bar and marks the matching dashboard row. The third target or the stop ends the trade.

  • R-multiples editable for all three targets
  • An alert for each target and for the stop
  • Counters update when a trade closes

Dashboard

Watch confluence build before the bar closes

The confluence block shows a live buy score and a live sell score, in stars, against the minimum you set. You can see a setup forming before the bar closes and the signal prints.

Above it sit the readings that make up the score, and below it the open trade with its entry, stop and targets. The last block is the tool's own running count of its signals and outcomes on this chart: a record of the past, not a forecast.

  • Market context: bias, price against VWAP, ATR
  • Momentum engine: RSI, MACD, ADX and the EMA 9 and 21 state
  • Confluence: live buy and sell scores against your minimum
  • Active signal: direction, stars, entry, stop and targets
Any market

Intraday to swing, on anything

It runs on every timeframe and every symbol. On lower timeframes, raise the minimum confluence to keep the signal count sensible.

The VWAP and volume checks need real volume. On symbols without it those two points cannot score, so set the minimum with that in mind.

Alerts

Thirteen alerts, none of them for old history

Alerts fire on the confirmed bar close and can arrive as a pop-up, a push notification, an email or a sound. A master alert can send a JSON webhook payload for automation.

When you first add the indicator to a chart, alerts stay silent while history replays, so you are not flooded with signals that happened last month.

Under the hood

Six factors, one point each

The cross is the first factor. The other five decide whether you ever see it.

  1. Trend and fair value

EMA 9 crossed EMA 21 in the trade direction, and price is on the correct side of the session-anchored daily VWAP.

  2. Momentum

RSI confirms momentum in the trade direction, and MACD agrees on the trend.

  3. Strength

ADX indicates a trending market, and the close is on the correct side of the fast EMA.

  4. Participation

A volume burst is present, and the candle points the same way as the trade.

What it does

  • Prints a signal only when enough factors agree
  • Shows the score on the label and live on the dashboard
  • Draws and tracks an ATR stop and three targets
  • Keeps one active trade, with a cooldown between signals

What it does not do

  • It does not place trades. It is an indicator, not a strategy or a robot
  • It does not remove every bad cross: a high score in a range still fails sometimes
  • It does not predict price, and six stars is not a promise
  • It does not replace position sizing and a risk limit of your own

Questions

Before you buy

Does Sniper Ashfield Pro repaint?

No. With Non-Repaint Mode on, which is the default, signals are evaluated only on a confirmed bar close. Once an arrow, a star rating or a stop and target line is drawn, it does not move or disappear.

How many signals will I get?

That depends on the minimum confluence you set. The default is three of six. Lower values give more signals of lower quality, higher values give fewer and stricter ones. A cooldown input also enforces a minimum number of bars between signals.

Which markets and timeframes does it work on?

Every symbol and every timeframe TradingView offers. It is aimed at intraday and swing timeframes. The VWAP and volume factors need real volume data.

Do I need a paid TradingView plan?

No. Invite-only indicators work on the free plan. The free plan limits how many indicators you can have on one chart and how many alerts you can run, so a paid plan helps if you use many, but it is not required for this one.

How fast do I get access?

I grant access by hand from my TradingView account. It is normally done within a few hours and always within 24 hours of your form arriving, including weekends.

Is this a subscription?

No. It is one payment of 47 USD for lifetime access on one TradingView username, with future updates included.

Can I get a refund?

Once access has been granted the sale is final, because access to an invite-only script cannot be returned. That is why the script page on TradingView is public: read it and look at the charts first. If you paid and access has not been granted yet, email me and I will refund you in full.

Can I change the TradingView username later?

Yes. Email me from the address you bought with and I will move the access to your new username.

Is there a version for another platform?

Yes. A MetaTrader 4 and 5 edition is on the MQL5 Market. It is a separate product sold by that store; this page is the TradingView edition.

Will it make me money?

No indicator can promise that, and this one does not. It gives you a clear, rule-based reading of the chart and a plan to work from. What you do with that, and how you size positions, decides the outcome.
